Thank you for considering Gentle Farewells to help commemorate your loved one’s life. Every ceremony should be personal and meaningful. With music, readings, and a personalised eulogy, together we can create a true celebration of their life.
What’s included:
All phone and email communications.
Personal visits to collect information needed, to write the funeral service
The service will be delivered to you to check as many times as needed until you are happy.
Help and advice on poems, readings and music included in the service.
Communication with anyone involved with the service, funeral directors and venues.
Leading the ceremony with warmth and dignity.
Travel for communications and ceremony within a 30-mile radius of Leighton Buzzard.
Writing the funeral service:
Together, we’ll create a ceremony that reflects the life, personality, and spirit of your loved one, shared with dignity, warmth, and care. Family and friends are welcome to contribute readings or memories, which can be woven into the service. Ceremonies may take place at a crematorium, burial site, or another meaningful location, ensuring a personal and honest farewell.
After the funeral:
Grief doesn’t end with the ceremony, and neither does my support.
If you would like help arranging the interment or scattering of ashes at a later date, I would be honoured to assist. This service is offered free of charge to families for whom I’ve led the funeral ceremony (travel expenses may apply).
Whether it’s weeks or months later, I’ll be here to help you mark this moment with care and reverence.

Scattering of Ashes service - From £80
A simple, respectful ceremony to mark the scattering of ashes in a meaningful place. This can include a few words of reflection, a poem, or quiet moments for remembrance.
Interring (Burial) of ashes - From £80
A thoughtful service to accompany the burial of ashes, offering space to pause, reflect, and honour your loved one in a calm and dignified way.
Memorial Ceremony - From £250
A personalised ceremony created to celebrate and remember a life, held at a time and place of your choosing. This may include stories, readings, music, and contributions from family and friends.
Pet services - From £100
Pets are cherished members of the family, offering unconditional love and companionship. Saying goodbye to them can be just as painful as losing a human loved one.

The loss of a child is one of the most devastating experiences a family can face. As adults, we may prepare for death emotionally, but the death of an infant or young person is something no one can truly be ready for.
I offer my services free of charge for all funerals involving infants and children under the age of 18. It is my heartfelt way of supporting families during this unimaginable time, helping you honour your child’s life with love, tenderness, and dignity. Gentle guidance through planning
